Mobility Fair June 24, 2017

June 24, 2017. Today, Hanger Clinic and the University of Utah Rehab conducted a running clinic up on campus. This was the most memorable event I have ever attended in regards to people I met. It is called a Mobility Fair and you would not believe the stories behind the numerous amputees Lori and I came to know. In my case, I had ten years to prepare for our amputation. In the case of these people we met and learned of their amputations, each and every one were senseless... and tragic accidents which abruptly and dramatically took their limbs and then miraculously were saved from death by someone else that didn’t even know them. The magnificence we learned from them is how they are using their lives to enhance and better the lives of others. In each and every case, their beliefs and mantra include the betterment of lives of others. We feel so lucky to have met these people and desire to continue in our associations with them.
